My room was beautifully decorated with lovely facilities and had smoke detectors for safety measures.

Location: the hotel was next to both Looe and Polperro, other gorgeous beaches and beautiful grounds. My room included an electric kettle, central heating, iron and ironing board.

the location was perfect and lovely, not far from other gorgeous beaches, and beautiful grounds. it also was in the middle of the city. i loved the garden view from the double room.

The location was perfect with beautiful grounds and close to communal areas and other gorgeous beaches like Whitsands.

It's a great location for a wedding ceremony, and the staff were very accommodating, making our time there enjoyable.

The surrounding area was not well-maintained. The room and bathroom were not up to par.

Recently stayed at The Gate Cornwall for a weekend getaway. The coastal decor throughout the property was charming, giving it a lovely beachy feel. The host was very friendly and gave great recommendations for local attractions. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathroom was great, with amazing toiletries and 24/7 hot water. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with a fabulous bottle of local apple juice. The property is just a short drive from Looe and offers beautiful rural views. The gardens looked fantastic for a relaxing evening or afternoon. a beautiful place with fantastic amenities, making it a perfect choice for a relaxing stay.

our stay at the gate cornwall was even better than our previous visit to looe. the location was perfect and the accommodation exceeded our expectations. the owners were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. we can't wait to come back and see the upgrades they're making. truly first class.

Bathroom window could use attention.

The hotel is set in beautiful grounds with lovely rural views and a peaceful location. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the bathrooms are clean and well-equipped, with amazing toiletries and 24/7 hot water. The hosts are friendly and welcoming, providing great recommendations and going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay.

Maintenance issues were noticeable, with some rooms showing signs of neglect and old kitchen utensils.

Beautiful place, kid and dog-friendly, amazing views. Modern and stylish studio with separate bedroom. Staff fantastic, spent time with our dog at the wedding. Shepherd's hut had a perfect bath and great view. Loft had a comfortable bed, large shower, and kitchenette for quick meals. Can't wait to come back!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at The Gate. The room we stayed in was tastefully decorated and the outside bath was a unique touch. The products provided smelled incredible and I appreciated their sustainability efforts. The location was peaceful and exactly what we were looking for. The staff, especially Vikki, went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We even received a bottle of Prosecco as a welcoming gift.

As longer term business travelers, we loved the beautifully presented accommodations and stunning views. The shepherds hut was a perfect retreat with a luxurious bath and breathtaking scenery. The loft was equally impressive with a comfortable bed, large shower, and picturesque views. The small kitchenette made meal preparation easy. Rich and Jonny were excellent hosts, providing great recommendations and even arranging a fire pit for us. We can't wait to return!
